Day 5: Self-Nurture (8.14.11)

Today was all about mothering myself. 🙂 I spent most of the day just relaxing, meditating, and taking it easy. To capture the theme of the day, I went to the one place I most draw my energy from: nature.

I *love* going out in nature. Laying on the grass, staring up at trees and sunsets, smelling flowers, exploring tree groves. I’m sure I will, at some point in my life, live in a cabin in the middle of a gorgeous forest, next to a vaste body of water, surrounded by like-minded awesome individuals. 😉

It’s become one of the central themes of my life: I can’t care for anyone else if I don’t care for myself first. I can’t help bring big joy to this world if my own well of joy is running on low. Good thing it’s so easy to replenish my well. 😉 Nature is AMAZING at replenishing my well… or anyone’s well. If you ever feel anxious or stressed, just go out and stare at clouds. Or go chase fireflies. Or go dip your feet in the ocean. So many ways to bring your attention back to the beauty and perfection of this moment. I love my world. 😀
